Platform switch! Good and bad news about Dogs of Combat! Please read!

Hi to our fans! We will start off this post with an announcement that we regret to publish: the discontinuation of the development of the PlayStation Vita version of Dogs of Combat and all future Vita titles we were going to develop.  We thank all who have downloaded our content from the PlayStation Mobile Store.  Not only has it been a good run, but we also got our first income payment today.  We are very excited about it.

The reason we are excited about this payment, which came from all the people who bought Dogs of Combat‘s in-app purchases, is because we will use that money towards new hardware and software.  This hardware and software will help us develop for iOS.  Yep, that’s right! We are switching to one of the most popular platforms in existence, planning to port Dogs of Combat on the iOS App Store.  But, to do that, we need Apple hardware.  As a Windows-based developer, we will be using an operating system completely new to us: OS X.  This is a requirement for App Store developers set by Apple.  As for how we will get the money, we will post more info in the future.

This has been a great milestone in the history of Closed Umbrella Games, and we hope to create great apps for iOS!  Thanks for reading this post!
